Fun trivia calendar

I love having this at my desk! The simple design makes it really easy to keep track of the days, and I love that it’s created as a general calendar instead of for a specific year, so I can continually use it without having to throw it away. It’s the perfect size to sit below a computer monitor, and it’s a decent quality for gentle use. It’s also been teaching me things about history that I should know as a functional adult, so it makes me feel a little smarter each day too!I love the design of this and the price so much that I’m considering adding it as a stocking stuffer for family members too!

Great desk calendar you can re-use!

I always enjoy having a desk calendar. The ones that are the best are when they have facts! This desk calendar has world history facts which is a subject I definitely could always learn more about. The calendar is nice quality; I like how the stand is thick and not just paper to help it stand up straight. This calendar is also nice as it is a "perpetual" calendar meaning there is no year listed so you could keep it on your desk for years, if you really wanted to. I don't usually see the option for perpetual calendars often, so I thought that was unique and one of the reasons I decided to get it. So far, all the facts I have read have been ones I didn't know or didn't remember so I love that I'm learning as well. The price is great as well; I typically see other calendars like this for the same or more and they are usually only ones that can be used for a year. I'd like to check out this brand and see what other calendars they have.

Great for the history buff. Fun in the office.

I’ve had the "Today in History" perpetual calendar on my desk for a few months now, and flipping its pages has become my favorite part of my morning coffee routine. One side is the first half a year on one side and the other half on the opposite side, delivering fascinating historical events, births, and milestones in a clean, easy-to-read format. The vintage-inspired design, with its charming aesthetic, adds a cozy touch to my cubicle, and the sturdy spiral binding lets it stand upright on its own, no extra stand needed. The high-quality paper feels solid and well-crafted, like something I’ll treasure for years. Getting many comments from those that stop by.

Great Gift Idea!

The Today in History Perpetual Calendar is such a fun and unique gift idea! It’s perfect for that hard to buy for relative or as an office Secret Santa gift. Each day features an interesting “Today in History” fact, making it both educational and entertaining.Because it’s perpetual, it can be used year after year, which makes it an especially practical pick. It’s more of a calendar-at-a-glance than a planner, so it’s best suited for desktop décor rather than scheduling, but it looks great and doesn’t take up much space.I love having it on my desk. it’s handy for double checking the date before sending emails, and I get a mini history lesson at the same time.Overall, it’s a clever, conversation starting desk accessory that’s both functional and fun!

educational and fun

I actually got this for my school. I work as a librarian and I really wanted something that helped me learn more about our history. Something that would be fun for the kids to understand that I could learn with them and I love how this is individual and it’s something that helps you learn things you just wouldn’t know without it.

You can use it year after year

Very cute! For some reason I didn't realize "perpetual" meant that the days of the week aren't indicated and it can be used and reused year after year (until I've memorized them I guess) so that's cool. I'm going to keep it on my desk in my studio. It's really well made and because it's perpetual and not tear off, it's like half the size of a regular paper daily calendar. It's just a nice little tidbit of daily information.

Today in History perpetual calendar

If I could have an elementary and high school do-over, I would have paid so much more attention in history and geography class. At the time it just seemed so boring. Now I find history interesting, which is why I ordered this Today in History perpetual calendar. It’s an attractive desk calendar with a built in stand. Each page has a single historical fact. I love the simplicity of it. It actually inspires me to learn more about the particular topic of the day. If you’re into genealogy, it can really make history come alive when you think of the daily fact in the context of your ancestors who may have been living at that time. This calendar would make a great gift for anyone. I found it to be an excellent value for the money and highly recommend it.

You can use this year after year

This is a perpetual calendar, meaning there is no year (or day of week) on each page. So you can get a few years out of it, until you memorize a fact for each year...The pages are double-sided, so once you get through June, you flip it around and go the other way to see the pages for the 2nd half of the year.

Fun calendar!

Somewhat bland, but for the most part it is as expected.Has some really neat a fun facts that you wouldn’t get anywhere else on a daily basis, so I can genuinely say that I look forward to reading it each day! I feel the price point is fair at that and more than fair valued. One thing that I really appreciate is the fact that they aren’t long and drawn out facts where everything you’re reading doesn’t make sense by the end as some of the others… all in all, great purchase!

Great daily calendar!

Really nice daily calendar. I like that there is a faint background icon that reflects what it talks about for that day in history. Foldable cardboard stand built into the calendar. Each page is a good thickness, not super flimsy, gray colors and design. And the actual facts for the this day in history are cool and interesting. Love it!

Neat calendar for history buffs

This is a ring-bound, daily flip calendar with "on this date" history factoids for every day of the year. It is "perpetual", which simply means it doesn't specify a day of the week, so it can be used for any/every year. That means you can get this right now and use it right away. No need to wait for January 1st. It is sturdy paper and the ring binding means that it won't get bent or folded. You can tear out a page if you want, without affecting any other pages (though that would mean you couldn't use it again next year). The only thing I would add is space to write in your own personal "on this date" history, like birthdays and anniversaries and whatnot. But it's pretty cool as it is.

Fun Fact Calendar

This is a super fun calendar. My daughter has been taking AP History in school, so I got her this to give her a quick history fact every morning. I usually pop into her room each day so see what the fact is also. The calendar is just the fact for a specific day, like May 25th. There are no years or days of the week on the calendar, so you can use this calendar whenever. You can start in the middle of a year and once you've gone all the way through you can just keep going and repeat them if you want, since most of us won't have memorized all 365 history facts. The calendar has a base that folds out so it sits nicely wherever you want it or you can lay it flat. It has the facts printed back to back on the sheets, which keeps it a thinner than a calendar that has a single page for each of the 365 days.

Very Nice!

I’m very pleased with the Today in History Perpetual Calendar.I glanced through twenty or thirty of the facts, and I appreciated that they didn’t just concentrate on U.S. history, but were world wide and very diverse. I like learning, and each fact I read was interesting or intriguing. The calendar is very sturdy, stands upright very well, and the weight of the pages are heavy enough that I wasn’t worried about accidentally tearing them while flipping through the calendar.I was surprised that the calendar was printed using soy ink, which is a cool fact in and of itself. If you enjoy effortless learning, I’m happy to recommend this calendar. 🙂

Fun facts at your fingerstips

Fun gift calendar or for every day.Simple and easy to set up, just pop the stand and have fun each day. It's an easy white elephant gift, stocking stuffer or back up gift. Or, add to your own knowledge each day. The paper quality is medium, yet some fun facts along the way. (See pictures and video)

Nice perpetual calendar with an event that happened each day

My daughter uses "this day in history" with alzheimer patients that she works with, and they love it.I like that this calendar is perpetual, it doesn't have a year so it can be reused over and over again.I wish each day had more events for each day instead of just 1.This is great for putting out for everyone to see, and flipping over the day as I get my morning coffee. The size is easy to read. I knocked off a point for not having more events for each day. I think this could be packed with more information to make it a better value.

Fun Calendar!

The “Today in History” calendar is full of fun and interesting historical facts. This perpetual desk calendar is bound with a black metal spiral ring. The stand is attached and is constructed of a heavy duty cardboard type material. Each page marks a single day of the year, with the exception of Leap Year, February 29, which is combined with February 28. The date and fact are boldly/clearly printed on each page and are easy to read. My only negative comment; I find the pages to be very light weight paper stock and may be subject to tearing. Other than that, I love this calendar. This is a great gift idea for that hard to buy for friend or relative. Since it’s a perpetual calendar, it can be used year after year….the gift that keeps giving!
