While this calendar has a variety of words it also teaches Gen Z and Gen Alpha slang like “delulu” and “amirite.” I don’t really care for the slang vocab.
Yeah no, I feel like the description was not accurate. Majority of the words I’ve seen have been slang or words you see ALOT online. Said it had carefully crafted words that were obscure and powerful? No. Even the words that aren’t slang are commonly used words. Also I just found it weird to have the word of the day on MLK day to be “Adorkable”…. Yeah real “powerful” stuff….
This was a great purchase since I’ve been living under a rock and have never heard the word “humongous” before. Perfect for old people that have never seen FOMO used, might regift to my grandma.

Edit: seems like for February the words are getting better so will review for final opinion at the end of the yearOld: Really disappointed and it is now even the end of January. It is mostly slang words. I was trying to improve my vocabulary, but doesn’t look like that happening with this. I feeling like they are trolling me.
I was expecting some fun and challenging words. Well, 20 days into the year and so far there’s been “e-commerce” “adorkable” and “girl dinner.” Lame. Also, their website and social handle are printed on every page.
I like the layout and how it is presented, but there are many words in this list that are...shall we say ridiculous and will make you a laughing stock if you try to use them in educated or professional settings.
It's early in the year yet but I'm not impressed so far. There have been some good words but nothing very unusual really. But then "girl dinner"? It's an internet slang and ridiculous to put this is in a calender meant to improve vocabulary. It "gave me the ick".
These are NOT dictionary words and include TRIGGER words. "Words" include Brangelina, Beast Mode and Beach Read. Worse, it had Girl Dinner, which is an anorexic term. The "real words" are the same day/list as Merriam Webster online. I gave it as a gift and was embarrassed when recipient let me know.

Daily calendar to learn by.This was acquired and given as a Christmas gift.The calendar is a bit more than 4 inches by 4 inches, so it doesn't take up too much space on a desk.The backing on the last page is cardboard that has a cut-out in it so with a simple fold, it creates its own stand.The days are all dark in color rather than dark text on a white background. That need not be bad, but some may not prefer that combo.Each day has the day of the week, the date, and, of course, the word of the day with the pronunciation, word type, holiday (when appropriate), and definition.
I really don't like this word of the day calendar. My son thinks its funny with some of the words but I thought it was going to be something to expand my son's already extensive vocabulary. We will keep it because he likes it but it is not what I thought at all. See pics for some of the words, modern day slang.
This is a neat daily tear-off calendar! The design of the pages is simple and clean, introducing a new word every day. I flipped through the pages and the words range from silly slang to more formal words. The pages tear off easily (I tore off a page just before the calendar pages started to test this). The back panel is a piece of cardboard that folds out and makes a nifty stand (no plastic back like other daily calendars). I also really like that the backs of the calendar pages are lined so the pages can be upcycled into note paper. Gives the calendar a second use. There are also perforated edges along the top to remove sections once the days are torn away. Overall, very happy with this product and looking forward to learning new words in 2026.
This is a great calendar for people that want to increase their vocabulary. There are more recent words as well as older words included. It even has a stand included on the back. I like the sleek design of the pages. It would look nice in a more professional setting, or can be used at home. The size is a little smaller than other page-a-day type calendars I’ve used before, but I like the size. On the back of each page is a lined page where you can take notes or even practice using the new vocabulary to make sentences. This would make a good gift for Christmas if you know someone who likes to learn new words.
This Word of the Day Calendar reminds me of the little magazine that had an article to help enrich your vocabulary. Is standard tear off "calendar" size. The back sides are blank with lines to use as note paper. Comes with a built in stand if you want to use it. Looking forward to 2026 to enrich my vocabulary each day!
